“Runaway Night”
A little background info…“Runaway Night” is one of my favorite series. Many have seen long-exposure photographs taken of cityscapes at night, but I wanted to do it in a way that made it feel alive.
I chose not to use a tripod or any kind of stabilization beyond my own body for this series. while i took these photos, I would be walking, moving the camera, or driving (don’t try). I did this to create unpredictable Light trails that were exciting. Some of the photos in this series are minimally edited to exemplify their original beauty, while some photos inspired me to create surreal scenes.
“Runaway Night” is raw and without structure. in some ways this series mirrors how i live my own life because not knowing how things will end up and trusting your intuition can lead to amazing and beautiful discoveries of the world and self.
