The Beginning
the myth goes, the gift bestowed upon king midas was that everything he touched turned to gold. that myth is often told to warn of the dangers of greed, to illustrate that all things should be enjoyed in moderation. I chose to call this site “midas prints” because even though my portfolio is vast, i only offer 10 select, high-quality, “golden” prints at a time. I believe in moderation, but I also believe that we should all allow ourselves to indulge in the finer things in life from time to time.
This site was born from my desire to put some of the photos I’ve taken and graphic designs I’ve created, 6+ years worth and counting, into the hands of people who find my work appealing. I find the digital world to be amazing and boundless, but nothing will ever beat physically being able to touch and be in the presence of a piece of art. Art is imbued with the desires, fears, aspirations and ideals of its artist. I believe when a piece of art inhabits your personal space, you have little choice but to stop, look and behold it; you are being invited to briefly step inside the artist’s mind and share their perspective.
This is my formal invitation to you. If you accept, I hope you enjoy what I have to share with you.
